Aaron Finch and David Warner once again starred with the bat, comfortably chasing Pakistan’s feeble total with 49 balls remaining.

SMITH’S BIZZARE ACCOLADE
Spectators were stunned when Steven Smith was unveiled as Player of the Series, despite only batting once.
Even Smith himself seemed surprised as he walked onto the podium to receive his prize.
The 30-year-old scored 80 not out at Canberra during his only dig of the series, finishing as the fourth highest run-scorer of the series.
Some would argue skipper Finch was more deserving, as he scored more runs at a better strike rate.
“I only had one bat in three games so I’m a little surprised to be up here,” Smith said as he accepted his player of the series award. “But the bowlers did a terrific job throughout the entire series and the Sri Lanka series to be fair and the boys up the top have done an amazing job again tonight as well so it’s been good all round.”

It’s not the first time it’s happened with Steve Waugh winning the man of the series award in a Test series in early 1994 despite playing in just the one match.
Smith’s unexpected accolade was one of many strange events in this one-sided series.
Australia only lost three wickets in the three-match series — Pakistan lost 19.
Middle order batsmen Ashton Turner only faced 15 balls in the three-match series — Australian vice-captain Alex Carey faced none.
The cricket wasn’t overly competitive with only rain in Sydney stopping an Australian whitewash.
But some of the biggest concerns were off the pitch. Crowd attendance was poor throughout the series, and DRS had technical glitches on more than one occasion.
Despite Australia’s success, it’s been a somewhat underwhelming start to the home summer of cricket.
And thus ends an entirely underwhelming start to the men’s international summer of cricket ... two extremely lacklustre and lopsided T20 series v SRI & PAK played before very modest crowds
